Agreement and developer
These terms apply to Biases, the iPhone app developed by AppsDev under the Brain project. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app. Applicable App Store terms and any mandatory consumer rights also apply.
Educational purpose
The app explains cognitive biases, related phenomena, and logical fallacies and provides short learning exercises. It is not medical advice, psychotherapy, psychological diagnosis, or a standardized assessment of cognitive ability. Do not use quiz scores to diagnose yourself or others, or to make health, legal, financial, or other high-stakes decisions.
Content limitations
There is no single final classification of all cognitive biases or reasoning errors. Some phenomena overlap, are context-dependent, or remain debated. Examples and quizzes simplify concepts for learning. The catalog does not claim to be exhaustive, and AppsDev does not promise specific learning outcomes or that every statement will be error-free. Use the linked references and independent judgment.
Permitted use and article cards
You may use the app for personal learning and share article image cards through the built-in sharing feature. That feature does not grant a right to republish or commercially distribute the entire catalog, artwork, or app. Respect intellectual property rights and do not misrepresent the educational content as a diagnosis or endorsement by AppsDev.
Local data and device requirements
The app requires a compatible iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Progress and settings are stored locally, with a shared local copy for widgets. AppsDev does not operate a cloud synchronization or recovery service. Resetting progress cannot be undone within the app. You are responsible for your device security and any backups you choose to maintain.
Third-party references and sharing services
External references and destinations selected from the iOS share sheet are independent third-party services. Their terms and privacy policies govern their use. AppsDev does not control their content, availability, or handling of information.
Availability and responsibility
The app is provided as available. Features and content may be updated, and widget refresh timing is controlled by iOS. To the extent permitted by applicable law, AppsDev is not responsible for indirect losses arising from use of the app or reliance on its educational content. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer protections that cannot lawfully be excluded.
