Biases
Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated: October 7, 2026
Summary
Biases is developed by AppsDev. The app’s learning content works offline. It has no account system, advertising SDK, third-party analytics, or developer-operated server receiving your learning data. AppsDev does not collect, sell, or share your learning progress through the app.
Data stored on your device
The app stores favorites, reading marks, recent article quiz results and their dates, questions marked for mistake review, and the number of completed sessions in local UserDefaults. Language, palette, and appearance preferences are also stored locally. Progress and settings are copied to the on-device App Group shared preferences so the app’s widget extension can display them. This is local sharing between the app and its widgets, not transmission to AppsDev.
Widgets and visibility
Article and progress widgets read local content and the shared progress/settings copy. Depending on where you place a widget, article text or progress may be visible on your home or lock screen. You control widget placement and lock screen access through iOS.
External links and sharing
Reference links open third-party websites only when you choose to follow them. Those websites may receive normal web request information such as your IP address and are governed by their own privacy policies. The app itself does not make network requests for learning content. Article sharing creates an image containing the article title, definition, and example, not personal progress. If you send it using the iOS share sheet, the service you choose handles the shared image under its own policy.
Retention, reset, and backups
Learning progress remains locally until you reset it in Settings or it is otherwise removed. Resetting progress clears the app’s progress and its shared widget copy; it does not reset language or appearance preferences. iOS device backups may retain app data according to your system settings. Backup storage and restoration are controlled by Apple and your chosen backup method, not by AppsDev.
Support messages
If you contact AppsDev, we receive the details you choose to send, such as your email address and message, and use them to respond to your request. Do not send sensitive personal information. The AppsDev website contact form uses FormSubmit to deliver messages; website contact processing is separate from the offline app.
Children and educational use
The app does not request personal details from users, including children. Its quizzes are learning exercises, not psychological assessments. AppsDev does not receive quiz answers or results through the app.
Changes and contact
This policy describes the current app behavior. If that behavior changes, this page will be updated. For privacy questions or support, contact AppsDev at dev.play.apps@gmail.com.
