Biases is a native iPhone app for exploring how we think, where reasoning can go wrong, and how to check our assumptions. The entire learning library works offline, without an account or analytics. Requires iOS 26 or later.
Understand the mechanism
Explore 261 articles on cognitive biases, related phenomena, and logical fallacies. Each article includes a three-step mechanism, everyday examples, a counterexample, a practical step, and important caveats. Search by name, definition, example, or topic, and save useful articles to your favorites.
Put understanding into practice
Check your understanding with three questions per article. Work through mixed five-question sessions, read explanations of incorrect answers, and revisit your mistakes. Reading marks, quiz results, and completed sessions stay on your device.
A small daily habit
The Today tab offers an article of the day and a short observation exercise. Home screen and lock screen widgets bring the daily article or your learning progress into view. Six palettes, light and dark appearances, and English and Russian let you make the reading experience your own.
Share ideas, not your progress
Create a previewable image card with an article’s title, definition, and example, then share it using the iOS share sheet. Your personal learning progress is not included.
Learning, not diagnosis
The app is an educational reference, not a psychological assessment or medical advice. The catalog is not an exhaustive or final classification: some phenomena overlap, depend on context, or remain debated.
